Christmas Candy Canes
You see them everywhere. They are in stores, used as window displays, yard decorations, Christmas trees, and even like candy. The traditional sugar cane is red and white with plenty of festive cheer added to the mixture. Of all its uses, cane Sugar is the most popularly known as sweets taste delicious products in a variety of formats. But what prompted its creation? How was invented cane sugar? For those who do not know the legend of cane sugar is just as magical as any holiday tradition can be. For those who already know its meaning, the story is timeless and never seems to age.
According to history, a hoped candymaker invent a candy that has been witness to Christ. He decided to use a hard candy that is as we all know the sugarcane to be today. The reason is that the form of cane sugar, which is a "J" is for Jesus. Turned Upside Down, it also looks like a stick shepherd. The candymaker designed cane into white sugar, so it represents the purity of Christ. He then decided to add a red stripe, which symbolizes the blood Christ shed for the sins of the world. The flavor of a traditional candy cane is peppermint, which is similar to hyssop which was used for purification and sacrifice based on the Old Testament.
Today, people all over the world recognize sugar cane as a traditional symbol of Christmas. To preserve the true meaning of holidays, some parents may decide to have an ornament of cane sugar engraved the name of their child. Given at a young age, cane sugar named after a child will remain a cherished symbol of tradition as that child grows up in an adult. Speaking of Christmas traditions, children will grow up to pass the same special gifts on their own children.
Speaking of giving, one uses the most popular candy canes is gift. Children often receive in school and adults are often in boxes of candy with these striped symbols as a way to share the spirit of sugar cane and holidays. For those who live in an area where Santa Claus appears each year to visit with children and pose for photos at the local mall, it is customary for him or his elves present a child with a cane Christmas. Today, a number of manufacturers produce candy canes and candy distributed in virtually all retailers in the celebration of Christmas.
Not everyone realizes the rich history that a candy cane brings Christmas. It is much more than simple garden decoration, a sweet sweet taste, or a pretty window seal. In fact, more than any of these things. Legend the candy cane goes back to a time none of us were present, but still, all these years later can still celebrate its true meaning and significance which coincides with the wonderful Christmas holiday.
