The Special Edition Brewing System is our mid-luxury home brewing system that offers a blend of styling and convenient features. The Special Edition features chrome accents, a blue, back lit LCD display and three brew size options. Programmable features include a Digital Clock, Adjustable Temperature and Auto On/Off. The 48-ounce removable water reservoir holds up to eight cups before refilling and for the removable drip tray allows for easy cleaning and the use of travel mugs.At initial set up, once the machine is filled with water, it will take approximately 4-minutes for the water will be heated. During the heating period the red light next to 'HEATING' on the LED Control Center will become illuminated. Once the water is heated, the red light will turn off and the Small Mug Button will flash. Press the Small Mug Button to start a cleansing brew. Pour the hot water into the sink. The Brewer may take 15 seconds to reheat water between brews during which time the red light next to 'HEATING' on the LED Control Center may be illuminated. When the water has heated, the red light will turn off. The one-time set-up process is now complete and you are ready to brew!

Whip up an easy after-dinner cappuccino for guests with this steam-free frother with stand from Aerolatte. A lesson in the value of persistence. We enter the world a century ago, a world lit by gaslight. It is Menlo Park, New Jersey, in 1877. Tomas Edison and his team are completing work on a new inventionthe phonograph. Edison gains renown as an inventor and is hailed as The Wizard of Menlo Park. He declares he will invent an electric light, a light that will be safer and cleaner than gaslight. There are those who do not want Edison to succeed, but he toils on. He knows that the secret of electric light is incandescenceheating a filament with electricity until it glows. But what material should be used for the filament? His team tries everythingbut in each case, the filament shoots up in flames. The trials go on for months, yet Edison does not give up hope. The search for the elusive filament goes on. His team is ready to give up. We have tried 1,000 different types of filament. Edison says that the trick is to get up the courage to try 1,001. At last their persistence is rewarded. The successful filament proves to be ordinary cotton thread coated with carbon. On New Years Eve, Edison ushers in 1880 with a display of electric lights. His team and supporters cheer.

Even if the notorious 1970s porn-filmmaking milieu doesn'texactly turn you on, don't let it turn you off to this movie's extraordinary virtues, either. Boogie Nights is one of the key movies of the 1990s, and among the most ambitious and exuberantly alive American movies in years. It's also the breakthrough for an amazing new director, whose dazzling kaleidoscopic style here recalls the Robert Altman of Nashville and the Martin Scorsese of GoodFellas. Although loosely based on the sleazy life and times of real-life porn legend John Holmes, at heart it's a classic Hollywood rise-and-fall fable: a naive, good-looking young busboy is discovered in a San Fernando Valley disco by a famous motion picture producer, becomes a hotshot movie star, lives the high life, and then loses everything when he gets too big for his britches, succumbs to insobriety, and is left behind by new times and new technology. Of course, it ain't exactly A Star Is Born or Singin' in the Rain. Writer-director Paul Thomas Anderson (in only his second feature!) puts his own affectionately sardonic twist on the old showbiz biopic formula: the ambitious upstart changes his name and achieves stardom in porno films as "Dirk Diggler." Instead of drinking to excess, he snorts cocaine (the classic drug of '70s hedonism); and it's the coming of home video (rather than talkies) that helps to dash his big-screen dreams. As for the britches ... well, the controversial "money shot" explains everything. And the cast is one of the great ensembles of the '90s, including Oscar nominees Burt Reynolds and Julianne Moore, Mark Wahlberg (who really can act--from the waist up, too!), Heather Graham (as Rollergirl), William H.
