Van Halen Guitar Solos

Eddie Van Halen is the lead guitarist with an icon of sixties and very coarse metal strips. The personality of Group members have always been too individualistic to make harmonious music, and thank you for this world. Personnel changes within the group have always tended to overshadow the music but in this article, we examine what is special about the guitar solos of Eddie Van Halen. Some of his most famous solos are on track "Eruption," "Hot For Teacher", "Mean Street" and Michael Jackson's song "Beat It".

"Eruption" is an instrumental piece that presents tapping the button on the guitar using both left and right hands. This technique has always been surrounded controversial, as fans of guitar players are likely to want Guitar Tapping be attributed to their idol. Eddie Van Halen himself is credited by many to be the inventor of the guitar tapping technique but Steve Hackett of Genesis has used this technique in the seventies and two guitars handed tapping can be traced back to Jimmy Webster in the early fifties nineteen. However the guitar by tapping "Eruption" helped make Eddie Van Halen for a guitar legend and Eddie himself says he simply took the idea from Jimmy Page's "Heartbreaker".

"Hot For Teacher" opens with Alex and Eddie Van Halen competing for our attention, like little boys doing handstands for their parents. The video this piece was a babefest directed by David Lee Roth, lead singer of the group at that time and was very popular with the MTV audience.
