The Special Edition Brewing System is our mid-luxury home brewing system that offers a blend of styling and convenient features. The Special Edition features chrome accents, a blue, back lit LCD display and three brew size options. Programmable features include a Digital Clock, Adjustable Temperature and Auto On/Off. The 48-ounce removable water reservoir holds up to eight cups before refilling and for the removable drip tray allows for easy cleaning and the use of travel mugs.At initial set up, once the machine is filled with water, it will take approximately 4-minutes for the water will be heated. During the heating period the red light next to 'HEATING' on the LED Control Center will become illuminated. Once the water is heated, the red light will turn off and the Small Mug Button will flash. Press the Small Mug Button to start a cleansing brew. Pour the hot water into the sink. The Brewer may take 15 seconds to reheat water between brews during which time the red light next to 'HEATING' on the LED Control Center may be illuminated. When the water has heated, the red light will turn off. The one-time set-up process is now complete and you are ready to brew!

Whip up an easy after-dinner cappuccino for guests with this steam-free frother with stand from Aerolatte. A lesson in the value of persistence. We enter the world a century ago, a world lit by gaslight. It is Menlo Park, New Jersey, in 1877. Tomas Edison and his team are completing work on a new invention-the phonograph. Edison gains renown as an inventor and is hailed as "The Wizard of Menlo Park." He declares he will invent an electric light, a light that will be safer and cleaner than gaslight. There are those who do not want Edison to succeed, but he toils on. He knows that the secret of electric light is incandescence-heating a filament with electricity until it glows. But what material should be used for the filament? His team tries everything-but in each case, the filament shoots up in flames. The trials go on for months, yet Edison does not give up hope. The search for the elusive filament goes on. His team is ready to give up. "We have tried 1,000 different types of filament." Edison says that the trick is to get up the courage to try 1,001. At last their persistence is rewarded. The successful filament proves to be ordinary cotton thread coated with carbon. On New Year's Eve, Edison ushers in 1880 with a display of electric lights. His team and supporters cheer.
